A CRM platform for revenue teams to manage contacts, companies, and deals, extensible via a REST/GraphQL/SQL API, webhooks, workflow automation, and a custom app SDK.
Software capabilities Records, Objects & Lists Actor and provenance tracking Every record and value write records the acting entity (workspace member, API token/integration, or system process) via a typed Actor reference, exposed as created_by and filterable. Bulk and record actions Apps can add custom bulk record actions and single-record actions, including call-recording insight/summary/transcript text-selection actions, that appear as buttons or menu items in the Attio UI; the `objects` targeting filter for record and bulk record actions now also accepts a predicate function (receiving record attributes/object/isStandard) in addition to a static object slug or array. Bulk update by copy and paste A range of cells selected in a table view can be copied and pasted to set many attribute values at once, including between Attio and spreadsheet applications, where the attribute types are compatible. Custom objects and attributes Admins can create custom objects and choose from 17 attribute types (text, currency, select, status, record reference, etc.) with configurable defaults, uniqueness, and multiselect behavior; a REST API endpoint now deletes a custom object and all its records (system objects like People and Companies cannot be deleted). Filtering and sorting Views and query endpoints filter and sort on any attribute using type-specific operators, including attributes reached through relationships and derived communication-interaction properties, with view filter and sort settings optionally saved for everyone with access. Formula attributes Formula attributes on Pro and Enterprise plans derive a value from other attributes using operators and built-in logic (including ifNull/??), math, date and time (including year, quarter, month, minute, second), text, and attribute-history functions, recalculating when their inputs change. Fuzzy record search A search endpoint (and MCP tool) fuzzy-matches records by name, domain, email, phone number, or social handle across one or more objects, mirroring the in-product search strategy. Kanban views Kanban views lay records out as cards in columns defined by a status attribute, with drag-and-drop between stages, bulk stage moves, selectable card attributes, and hidden or collapsed stages. List templates New lists can start from a template organized by use case that pre-populates the list with attributes and views. Lists, entries, and saved views Lists aggregate records into entries to model business processes, with saved views and access control set per workspace or per member (full/read-write/read-only). Moving records between lists Records selected in a view are added to another list in bulk from the Add to list action, and can be removed from the original list afterwards. Record and entry templates Custom templates control which attributes appear, and in what order, when creating a record or adding a record to a list, on Pro and Enterprise plans. Record create/read/update/upsert/delete Full CRUD plus assert/upsert-by-unique-attribute operations exist for records on every object, with append vs. overwrite semantics for multiselect attributes. Record merging Attio detects duplicate company and person records by domain and email address and merges two of them into a newly created record with its own ID and URL, combining list entries, notes, folders and files, tasks, comments, call recordings and meetings, and emails. Record page configuration Admins configure record pages per object, choosing up to six highlight widgets, adding, removing, and reordering tabs, relationship tabs, Emails tabs, and sidebar sections, and ordering the actions, alongside widgets contributed by App SDK apps. Record preview Opens a side panel preview of a record from a table or kanban view showing highlights, recent activity and linked tasks, with navigation between records in the view. Relationship attributes Relationship attributes link records across or within objects in both directions at one-to-one, one-to-many, or many-to-many cardinality, and expose the linked record's own attributes for display, filtering, and sorting in views. Standard objects (Companies, People, Deals, Users, Workspaces) Every workspace ships with Company and Person objects plus optional Deal, User, and Workspace standard objects, each with predefined system attributes admins can extend. Table views Table views present records and attributes in a spreadsheet-style grid with selectable and reorderable columns, per-column date, timestamp, and currency formatting, inline editing, resizing, and column calculations.
Collaboration & Activity Call recording library A Calls page lists every recording in the workspace with search, filter, sort, and favorites, and each record page surfaces the calls it took part in on its Calls and Activity tabs, with recordings shareable, downloadable, and deletable. Call transcripts Attio produces a real-time transcript with speaker labels and timestamps that can be searched, copied, clicked to jump to that point in the video, shared by section, and regenerated in a detected language within seven days. Cloud storage integrations Members connect a Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, or OneDrive account and link its files and folders to a record's Files tab, where renaming, deleting, uploading, and creating subfolders write back to the provider. Comments and mentions Threaded comments are added to records and list entries, replied to, resolved, and deleted, with @mentions notifying teammates and a per-view comment feed collecting them, and the REST API paginates a thread's comments (up to 250 per request, 80 for list-threads) via a `has_more_comments` flag. Favorites Records, notes, templates, and call recordings marked as favorites collect in a Favorites section of the sidebar and can be organized into folders. File storage and folders Native file storage on records supports upload (up to 50MB), download, folder organization, and listing of both native and externally connected files via a beta Files API. Manually logged activities Members log a meeting on a record's Activity tab with a title, summary, date and time, participants, and linked records, feeding communication intelligence attributes and Ask Attio; activities (which can now extend an `emails` schema in addition to activities/interactions/calls) and their individual records can also be deleted via the REST API. Meetings and call recordings Meetings and their call recordings/transcripts are queryable by participant, related record, or time range via the REST API and MCP tools. Note templates Note templates saved on the Notes page pre-fill a new note's structure and are available to the whole workspace. Notes Notes attach rich-text content to a record, created with the n shortcut, from a record's Notes tab, or from the Notes page, edited by several members at once, linkable to a calendar event, pinnable while navigating, and reachable through the API and MCP. Notifications A Notifications menu collects @mentions in notes, comments, and tasks, comment replies, task assignments, and email access requests, with per-type delivery configurable by email or mobile push. Offline editing Attio caches the open page when the connection drops and syncs any changes made while offline once it is restored. Quick actions Pressing cmd+K opens a context-sensitive palette of more than 30 actions covering record, note, task, and email creation, Ask Attio, and an upcoming meetings view where members RSVP, create meeting notes, and set call-recording preferences. Quick search Pressing / opens a workspace search that finds records by name, email address, domain, phone number, or ID, and by keywords in descriptions, social handles, and location attributes. Real-time updates Members viewing the same page, note, or table see each other's avatars and cell positions, and edits propagate live across the web and mobile clients. Record activity timeline A record's Activity tab shows a timeline of calendar events, emails, manually logged activities, task events, and attribute updates, with the visible event types selectable per object and mirrored in the mobile Activity tab. Tasks Tasks are created with the t shortcut, quick actions, an Ask Attio chat, or the API, linked to records and assigned with @mentions, given due dates written in natural language, and listed on a Tasks page that sorts, groups, and filters them.
Workflows & Automations Delegated sending A member enables delegated sending per sequence so others with sequence access can select them as sender at enrollment; senders can be invited by name and accept or deny the request from Notifications, and sent mail counts against the sending member's own limits. Execute code workflow step The Execute code step runs a custom JavaScript main() function against the step's configured inputs and returns its value to later blocks, with a 100-second timeout. Integration blocks Third-party blocks supplied by connected integrations let a workflow send information to another app, receive information from it, or act on activity there, with the blocks available in a workspace depending on which integrations are connected. Legacy workflow migration Ask Attio converts a legacy workflow into an equivalent workflow on the new engine for testing and cut over, with a block-change reference for rebuilding by hand instead. Legacy workflows Workflows built on the previous automation engine keep running and can still be edited and shared, but new ones can no longer be created. Send HTTP request workflow step The Send HTTP request step calls an external system with a chosen method, URL, headers, and body, and returns the status code, response body, and success flag to later blocks. Sequence recipient tracking A Recipients tab shows who enrolled each person, which steps have been sent, their current step, replies and detected out-of-office responses, and exit-criteria status, with per-recipient pause, resume, and exit controls. Sequences Sequences are multi-step email campaigns on Pro and Enterprise plans with configurable step timing, exit criteria, thread and sender settings, and steps drafted from templates or AI, enrolled from lists, records, or workflows once published. SQL query workflow step The SQL query step runs a validated SELECT statement against workspace data on the Enterprise plan and returns up to 500 rows for later blocks to consume. Workflow agent builder Describing a goal in plain language on the workflow canvas has Ask Attio assemble the workflow's trigger and steps for review before publishing. Workflow blocks SDK Developers can extend Attio Workflows with custom trigger and step blocks (block.ts/execute.ts/activate.ts) that appear in the visual workflow builder's block picker alongside Attio's built-in blocks. Workflow run viewer A Runs tab lists every execution of a workflow with its status, runtime, and credits consumed, replays the canvas showing which blocks ran, exposes each block's inputs and outputs, opens an agent log view of an agent block's prompt, tool calls, messages and per-step credits and time, and supports rerunning, retrying, pausing, canceling, and resuming runs. Workflow version history Saves a version of a workflow on every publish and lets users browse past versions and restore one as the current draft. Workflows Workflows chain a trigger and one or more step blocks on a canvas to automate a process, saved as a draft until published, with each run drawing workspace credits.
App SDK & Extensibility AI-assisted app development tooling Attio hosts a documentation MCP server at docs.attio.com/mcp for coding agents, ships new apps pre-configured with AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md and .mcp.json, exposes every docs page as a raw Markdown URL, and is indexed on Context7 to support AI-assisted App SDK development. App CLI and dev server Building an App SDK app uses a local CLI and dev server (npm run dev, npm run attio version create) with hot reload, a GraphQL Explorer, and TypeScript codegen for query files, plus an `attio migrate folder-structure` command that plan-first converts an app from the legacy app.ts manifest to the folder-based src/app/ layout. App environment variables Apps can define app-level secrets and configuration as environment variables, read via process.env in server-side code (server functions, webhook/event handlers, workflow blocks), set per-environment via a .env/.env.local file in development and a Secrets tab in the developer dashboard for production. App KV store A lightweight server-side key-value store (get/set/delete with TTL) is available to App SDK apps for caching, webhook idempotency, and transient state. App pages Lets apps define full pages of their own inside Attio via Extensions.definePage(), served under the app's own URL and listed in the sidebar. App SDK The App SDK lets developers embed TypeScript/React apps inside Attio's interface (record widgets, actions, forms, settings pages), with extensions organized by folder convention under src/app/ and registered via Extensions.defineExtension(), replacing the deprecated app.ts manifest, backed by a server sandbox with `atob()`/`btoa()` globals, GraphQL data access, and a component library. App server functions Server functions run app backend code inside a secure sandbox to call third-party services with user/workspace credentials, since client-side fetches to third parties are disallowed. App workspace settings Apps define typed workspace-level settings via Settings.defineWorkspaceSchema and a settings page via Settings.defineWorkspacePage under src/app/settings/, read/written through Settings.getSettings()/setSettings()/useSettings() and a useForm() hook (now with a RichTextInput component); the legacy useWorkspaceSettingsForm() APIs remain supported but are deprecated. Chart components Provides a Chart namespace with bar, line, pie, funnel, metric and loading components for rendering read-only data visualizations in app surfaces. In-app navigation Provides AttioLink and navigate() with typed Destinations so apps can link users to their own pages, records, record tabs and settings inside Attio. Layout and UI components Ships Card, Grid, Stack and EmptyState layout components plus Button variants for building structured surfaces on pages, record tabs and dialogs. Object actions Apps can add an 'object action' extension that runs against an entire object rather than a single record, rendered in the object's record-list actions menu and the CMD+K palette, for object-level work like imports or syncs. Record tabs Lets apps add custom tabs to record pages via a record-tab extension type, appearing automatically on matching records with stable deep-link URLs.
Email & Calendar Automatic record creation A workspace setting of All contacts, Selective contact creation, or None controls whether person and company records are created automatically from the participants on synced and forwarded email and calendar events. Email AI triage Attio lists auto-labeling and auto-summaries as email features; no page describes how either behaves. Email and calendar sync Connecting a Gmail or Microsoft 365 account imports a member's past emails and calendar events and keeps new ones flowing in, with the number of synced accounts per member gated by plan and message metadata exposed through the REST Emails object. Email blocklist Members add email addresses and domains to a blocklist so their messages and calendar events are kept out of Attio entirely. Email forwarding Each workspace has an inbound address at attio.email that members forward or BCC individual messages to, adding just those emails and their attachments to records instead of syncing a whole inbox. Email open tracking For synced Microsoft 365 accounts, Attio reports whether a recipient opened a single or mass send addressed to one participant; sequences and Gmail accounts are not tracked. Email outbox An Outbox page lists emails queued from a member's synced mailboxes with their scheduled send time and originating sequence, and lets them be previewed or canceled while Attio spaces sends to protect deliverability. Email sending Built-in email sending from records sends to up to 10 recipients at once on the Free plan and up to 50 on every paid plan, with a monthly per-user limit of 200 sends on Free and 1,000 on Plus and unlimited sends on Pro and Enterprise, and the “Sent with Attio” footer removable from Plus upward. Email sharing and visibility controls Each member sets a default sharing level for their synced mailbox of metadata only, subject line and metadata, or full access to the workspace or named individuals, and can share single emails or all emails on a record; teammates request access to anything hidden. Email signatures Members define a signature per connected email account that is appended to messages sent from Attio. Email templates Reusable email templates are created and edited on the Templates tab of the Emails page and selected when composing a new message; every workspace member can view, use, and edit them. Emails on record pages Synced, forwarded, and Attio-sent emails appear on the Emails tab of person and company records by matching participant addresses and company domains, rather than in a separate inbox page. Internal email privacy Attio hides emails and calendar events on records whose email addresses belong to an active member, a pending invitee, or a mailbox connected to the workspace.
AI & Agents AI agents The Custom agent workflow step deploys an AI agent against a prompt with plaintext or schema-structured output, a selectable OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic model, and scoped read access to Attio data, the web, and tools from MCP-enabled connected apps. AI attributes Text, number, currency, select, and multi-select attributes can carry an AI autofill prompt that generates their value on demand for one record or in bulk, drawing on workspace credits. AI workflow steps Classify record, Classify text, and Summarize record steps generate tags or text from record data or a text input inside a workflow, with a Save AI block outputs step writing results back to attributes. Ask Attio An AI chat assistant reachable from the Home page, sidebar, quick actions, record pages, notes, and calls answers questions over workspace data and the web, and can create or update records, create tasks, draft emails, and build workflows within the asker's own permissions. Ask Attio custom context Custom context stores standing instructions and preferences that Ask Attio applies to every conversation for that member. Ask Attio model selection Members pick the default model Ask Attio uses from Anthropic Sonnet and Opus, Google Gemini Flash and Pro, and OpenAI GPT, and can switch models inside an individual chat. Ask Attio prompts Members save reusable Ask Attio prompts, or adopt and customize prompts from Attio's prompt library, and share them with the workspace, teams, or individual members. Attio MCP server Attio's hosted MCP server lets AI clients like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor search, create, and update CRM records, lists, comments, notes, tasks, meetings, calls, emails, reports, and SQL via OAuth, including a `list-objects` tool to enumerate workspace objects, with per-tool rate-limit tiers and read-auto-approve/write-confirm safety. Call insight templates Insight templates hold per-section AI prompts that extract structured takeaways from any call transcript, built from scratch or from Attio presets for sales, success, product, marketing, recruiting, fundraising, and investing, and shared across the workspace. Call Intelligence Attio's call recorder joins Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams meetings on an auto-record setting or on demand, producing a recording, a live transcript, and AI insights on Pro and Enterprise plans. Formula AI composer An AI composer in the formula attribute editor turns a plain-language prompt into a formula that references the workspace's existing attributes, with a live preview of the computed value. Web agent workflow step The Web agent step answers a list of questions about a record by researching it across the web and returns the answers to later workflow steps.
Permissions & Security Access permissions (RBAC) Objects, lists, dashboards, workflows, and sequences each carry a workspace-wide default access level of full access, read and write, read only, or no access on Plus and above, raised for named teams, members, and automations on Pro and Enterprise plans; members with Full access to an object can manage its attributes. Domain verification Admins prove ownership of an email domain through a DNS challenge, which gates single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, and email retention, and can additionally stop members on that domain from changing their login address. Expert access grants Admins invite up to three consultants from Attio's expert directory into the workspace with admin access for a set period of up to 30 days, without consuming a paid seat, and revoke it at any time. Member and admin management Admins invite members, set each one as an admin or a member, and suspend or remove them, with a suspension freeing the seat for someone else. Protected recipients Admins designate people and companies as protected recipients so their emails and calendar events are hidden on the corresponding records for the rest of the workspace. SCIM provisioning Enterprise workspaces with a verified domain provision, update, deactivate, and group members from Okta or Microsoft Entra over SCIM, with an automatic seat assignment option that buys a seat when none is free. Signing into Attio Members sign in with a Google account, or with an email address and a one-hour temporary password, and Enterprise workspaces can sign in through SAML SSO. Single sign-on (SSO) Enterprise admins enable SAML sign-in against their identity provider for verified domains, optionally requiring SSO as the only sign-in method. Support access requests Admins approve or deny requests from Attio staff for temporary admin access to the workspace, normally limited to seven days, from a Support Requests page that keeps a history of prior requests. Suspended member data retention Admins choose which of a suspended member's mailboxes to retain and manage that retained email data, and can view every member's synced mailboxes plus connected storage accounts for active members. Teams Workspace members can be grouped into teams, limited to 10 on the Pro plan and unlimited on the Enterprise plan, to assign access to objects, lists, workflows, dashboards, and sequences and to filter views, reports, and workflow blocks.
Reporting & Analytics Communication intelligence Enriched interaction attributes (first/last email or calendar interaction, next calendar interaction, connection strength, strongest connection) are automatically computed per person/company from synced email and calendar activity. Dashboards Dashboards group reports on a named page with a drag-and-drop resizable layout and their own workspace, team, and member access settings. Data connectors Admins can generate read-only PostgreSQL-protocol credentials (one per workspace) to query CRM data directly from external BI/analytics tools without ETL. Funnel reports Funnel reports on Plus, Pro, and Enterprise plans measure the conversion rate between selected stages of a status attribute, counting records that reached or surpassed each stage to expose drop-off points. Historic attribute values Attribute value history can be queried with show_historic to reconstruct point-in-time state, and written wholesale via beta endpoints on records and list entries to migrate history from an external system, excluding Communication Intelligence and enriched attributes. Historical values reports Historical values reports on Pro and Enterprise plans plot a metric over daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly intervals from the state of the data at the end of each period, segmented by current or historical attribute values. Insight reports Insight reports show the current state of an object or list as a count or an aggregated number, currency, or rating attribute, grouped and segmented by other attributes and drawn as a bar, pie, line, or country map chart. Read-only SQL (Particle SQL) Enterprise workspaces can run read-only SQL against objects and lists exposed as Postgres-compatible tables, via the REST Query SQL endpoint, the query-particle-sql MCP tool, or a data connector, including joins across record references. Reports Reports turn object and list data into configurable charts and tables placed on dashboards, with filters, targets, duplication, fullscreen presentation, image download, and a report count and type set gated by plan. Stage changed reports Stage changed reports on Pro and Enterprise plans count the records, or aggregate a value attribute, entering each selected pipeline stage per day, week, or month. Time in stage reports Time in stage reports on Pro and Enterprise plans chart the maximum, average, or minimum time records spend in each selected stage of a status attribute, optionally grouped by another attribute.
Enrichment & Data Import/Export Bulk update via CSV import Including a unique attribute such as domain, email address, record ID, or entry ID in an imported CSV updates the matching existing records or list entries instead of creating duplicates. Company enrichment Company records are auto-enriched with name, description, logo, category, social profiles, location, employee count, ARR, and funding raised, with enriched values not overridable by API users. CRM migration with Import2 Admins on paid plans migrate companies, people, deals, custom objects, notes, tasks, and files from 40 supported CRMs, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Affinity, and another Attio workspace. CSV import A guided importer loads a CSV into an object or a list, mapping each column to an attribute, reviewing and reformatting values per attribute type, previewing the result, then running the import. Import history Import drafts and completed imports are listed per object and list for admins and per member in account settings, showing draft, in-progress, canceled, and failed states, and can be resumed, canceled, deleted, or shared by link. People enrichment Person records are auto-enriched with name, description, profile picture, social profiles, and location, with enriched values not overridable by API users. View export Any table or kanban view exports to CSV or Excel using its visible columns or card attributes, excluding enriched values, with Enterprise admins able to restrict exports to admins only. Workspace data backup Admins start an on-demand workspace export that produces a downloadable zip of CSVs covering records, lists, attributes, notes, tasks, comments, files, call-recording metadata, and members.
Billing & Platform Administration Account settings Members manage their own profile picture, name, login email address, timezone, and calendar preferences, with changes applying across every workspace they belong to. Appearance settings Members choose a light, dark, or system theme for the interface and pick an accent color used for highlights throughout Attio. Self-serve billing and plans Admins pick a Free, Plus, Pro, or Enterprise plan billed monthly or annually per seat after a 14-day Pro trial on new workspaces, add or remove seats, track record and credit usage against plan limits, update the payment method and billing contact, and preview and download invoices. Support tiers and migration service The Help Center, Attio Academy, and chat and email support are available on every plan, Priority Support is added on Pro and Enterprise, and an Import2-based migration service imports companies, people, deals, custom objects, notes, tasks, and files from another CRM. Workspace and seat credits Workflows and AI features consume a shared monthly pool of workspace credits while Ask Attio draws first on each member's personal seat credits, with admins capping how much of the workspace pool Ask Attio may use and buying add-on credit packages. Workspace deletion Admins permanently delete a workspace from workspace settings, which cancels the subscription, removes everyone's access, and erases all workspace data. Workspace name and logo Admins set the workspace name and upload or remove a workspace logo from the General tab of workspace settings.
API & Webhooks API keys Admins generate non-expiring access tokens on the Developers page with per-resource read or read-write scopes, and can rename, rescope, or delete them at any time. API rate limiting REST, MCP, and SQL surfaces enforce documented per-tier rate limits (e.g. 100 rps read / 25 rps write REST, 2 qps SQL) with 429 responses and Retry-After headers, plus score-based limits on complex list/query endpoints. GraphQL API A typed GraphQL API used by the App SDK exposes record and workspace data, with an embedded GraphQL Explorer for schema introspection and TypeScript codegen for query files. OAuth 2.0 apps Lets developers build OAuth 2.0 apps with authorize, token, introspect and revoke endpoints for issuing, inspecting and invalidating access tokens. REST API A public REST API (JSON over HTTPS, published OpenAPI spec) provides full CRUD across objects, records, lists, notes, tasks, comments, and files, authenticated via API tokens or OAuth 2.0. Webhooks Configurable webhooks deliver signed, real-time HTTP notifications for record/list/note/task/comment/object events with a rule-based filter syntax, idempotency keys, and retry with exponential backoff.
Integrations & App Store App connections Installed apps authenticate to a third-party service through a workspace connection set up once by an admin or a member connection each person creates for themselves, exposed to App SDK code as getUserConnection()/getWorkspaceConnection() with connection-added and connection-removed events. App marketplace An in-product marketplace under Workspace settings lists third-party and Attio-built apps by name and category; admins install and uninstall them, and non-admins send install requests that admins approve or reject. App Store publishing A public and in-product App Store lets developers publish reviewed third-party apps with listing content, screenshots, and logos through a versioned release/review lifecycle, or share privately via invite links. Zapier app An Attio app in Zapier, connected with an API key, exposes record, list-entry, and task triggers plus create, update, upsert, and find actions so Zaps can move data between Attio and other tools.
Native Clients & Extensions Attio Chrome extension A Chrome extension surfaces and edits Attio records from any web page, from Gmail, and during Google Meet calls, matching email and meeting participants to existing records or creating new ones. Attio on desktop A macOS desktop app for Apple Silicon and Intel runs Attio outside the browser and updates itself in the background. Mobile app Native iOS and Android apps let members create and update records and list entries, read emails and request access, watch call recordings with live transcripts and insights, and write notes away from the desktop.
