Granola adds shared-screen capture to meeting notes
New 'Capture shared screens' capability: when someone shares their screen in a meeting, Granola can screenshot what is being presented and attach the screenshots to the bottom of the meeting note. It captures only the shared window, requires Screen Recording permission, and can be toggled in Settings > Labs. Currently an experimental feature available to beta testers only; not available to enterprise plans, with Teams support coming soon.
In-app network connectivity check with troubleshooting steps and IT report
Granola adds a network check under Settings > Troubleshooting: it runs a connectivity test, shows which features were affected, offers guided troubleshooting steps matched to whether the user or IT manages the device or network, and can copy a full report or a ready-made IT request message. The network troubleshooting guide is restructured around this flow and adds new allowlist domains (ws.public-api.granola.ai, d315810d.api.deepgram.com) and a status page reference.
Granola becomes HIPAA compliant with BAA for Enterprise customers
Granola's docs flip from 'not currently HIPAA compliant' to HIPAA compliant for Enterprise customers, with a Business Associate Agreement covering the desktop and laptop apps. Free, Personal and Business plans remain excluded, and NHS DSP Toolkit accreditation is still not held. The privacy policy adds a full PHI/HIPAA section: PHI is processed only under an executed BAA, is not used to train AI models without consent, is not sent to consumer AI tools, and raw audio and draft transcripts containing PHI are deleted after the final note is produced. Mobile and wearable apps are not yet covered.
Annual billing now available on Enterprise contracts
Granola previously documented that annual plans were not available and billing was monthly only. The billing help page now states annual billing is available on Enterprise contracts only, set up with the sales team, while Basic and Business remain billed monthly. The plan comparison table adds a 'Billing options' row (Free / Monthly / Monthly or annual).
