Phoenix publishes a parallel "next channel" MCP tool surface with breaking changes
Twenty-two new `mcp-tools-next` pages document a next-channel version of the MCP tool set — company firmographic, technographic, intent, spend, cloud spend, contracts, hierarchy, FAI, AI maturity, install time series, operating signals, enrich, gov opportunities, product and vendor lookups, catalog, data query, industry and SEC search, and web search. Each carries a changelog of breaking changes: company selection is now batch-only (2026-08-04), parameters and envelope fields renamed to snake_case (2026-07-31), and `hg_id` renamed to `hgId` (2026-07-30).
Phoenix adds the company_ai_maturity MCP tool
A new MCP tool, company_ai_maturity, returns HG AI and data maturity signals as raw values — AI maturity score and rank, six-month delta, AI product use, GenAI intent score, data maturity level and score, cloud centricity, and per-provider cloud intensity — with no derived stage labels. It is positioned as the pass-through counterpart to company_operating_signals, which rolls the same inputs into stage labels; it costs 2 credits per lookup and requires the hginsights_v2 integration. Corroborated by the same run in the MCP tools overview page and the llms-full tool index.
AI Spend enrichment capability
Added AI Spend as a new enrichment data type. Users can now filter companies by AI spending categories, request AI spend records in enrichment responses, and paginate through AI spend data. New schemas include AiSpendFilters and CompanySearchV2AiSpendFilter, with ai_spend field added throughout enrichment and search endpoints.
Cloud Maturity field group added to company enrichment
POST /data-api/v2/companies/enrich returns a `cloud_maturity` field group with current and new cloud product counts, cloud percent of stack, percent change over time, and per-provider counts for AWS, Azure, and GCP. Companies can be filtered on these fields via `filters.cloud_maturity` on POST /data-api/v2/companies/search.
Statistics field group added to company enrichment
POST /data-api/v2/companies/enrich returns a `statistics` field group carrying aggregated summary statistics across a company's tech stack, spend, contracts, and employees.
Contact Search
The data API moves below the company record for the first time. POST /data-api/v2/contacts/search finds contacts across companies, filtered by company id or domain, job function, job seniority, country and time in current role, returning up to 20 contacts per page.
